The Google Adwords Conumdrum

Many Dealers are aware of Google Adwords, in fact many dealers use Google Adwords which begs the question...

How many dealers use Adwords right?

There are at least a dozen factors that go into buiding a complete and effective Google Adwords campaign, and Unfortunately, I am hardpressed to find Many Dealers utilizing Adwords right, and worse yet the advice they seem to be getting from "so called" Adwords experts is often downright wrong....

So what are the basics and what should you know?  Here are the broad strokes

  1. Do NOT target your home page
  2. Specifically target an existing page such as "Specials" that ties out to what you are trying to promote, for example 2.9% Financing on All CPO Cars this month.
    • *Tip- A better idea than using an existing page in your website is to hire a developer or a firm like ours (hint...hint..) to build highly targeted monthly landing pages.
  3. Advertise By Region, Your Region- NOT NATIONALLY
  4. Limit the times your Adwords Campaign runs for example Monday-Friday 11:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m. and 8:00 a.m. to 11:00 p.m. on weekends
  5. DO NOT USE THE CONTENT NETWORK, Only use "The Search" Network
  6. Break your ads down into seperate groups for New and Used as well as by model.

There is allot more, but the above will keep you out of trouble, and if we told you it all what would you need us for?
